I am a twenty-seven year old web/graphic designer and illustrator based in Glasgow. I currently work as senior web designer at WeeWorld Ltd, creators of the WeeMee and WeeWorld.com.

Design is my hobby as well as my profession. If I’m not working on client projects I am working on my own artwork in my spare time.

Skills

I am a highly skilled web/graphic designer and illustrator. I work to W3C standards; creating cross platform, fully validating CSS (XHTML Strict) sites that look great and are totally accessible. All of my sites are completely hand-coded. Although I feel that I have a unique design style, I create professional designs that are suited to any purpose; from corporate to personal.

I have extensive SEO experience. My clean coding techniques ensure that my sites can be tuned to perform well in all the major search engines. My personal site is ranked among the top five results for various key-word phrases in Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Expert in Photoshop and Illustrator. I can also use Flash to a high standard for animation and interface purposes. Excellent communication, presentation, client liaison and project management abilities.

Web designer/Illustrator – WeeWorld Ltd [Nov 2005 – Present]
Responsible for all site designs and html. I recently redesigned our MSN Messenger portal, Wee-Mee.com, which receives vast amounts of traffic and is now live in 13 countries. I’m currently rebuilding our community site, WeeWorld, as well as working on projects for our many partners.

Web/graphic designer – teleIT [Nov 2004 – Nov 2005]
I was responsible for all client and internal design work as well as design project management. I met with clients on a regular basis, transforming their requirements into practical design solutions. I designed, built and illustrated every aspect of the sites, working with developers who engineered all the systems for eCommerce.

Clients included TGI Fridays, CCA: Glasgow and Firewater, creating graphics for both print and screen.
